 JEDEC approves new LPDDR6 memory standard

JEDEC has approved a new LPDDR6 RAM standard aimed at low-power devices such as smartphones, notebooks, automobiles and artificial intelligence systems. It is designated JESD209-6 and is a significant step up from LPDDR5 in terms of speed, power efficiency and security.

G.Skill has unveiled a set of four Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 memory cards with an atypically large total capacity of 256GB. It is aimed at cyber athletes, AI developers and other professionals. The manufacturer also published screenshots with tests of the kit in several configurations.
