Thunderobot has launched the CU27F160M-EVO gaming monitor. The new model supports two resolution/refresh rate modes, features a bright Mini LED screen, and delivers high image quality thanks to 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
The model is based on a 27-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 160 Hz. There is also a special esports mode, where the resolution drops to 1920x1080 pixels and the refresh rate increases to 320 Hz.
The new model features Mini LED backlighting with 1,152 local dimming zones, a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits in HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). mode, support for 10-bit color depth, and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, and a single 3.5mm audio output.
The CU27F160M-EVO comes with an adjustable stand for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, as well as the ability to rotate the screen to portrait mode. For those wishing to mount the monitor on a bracket, there are VESA 100x100 mm mounting holes.
