Lenovo has expanded its ThinkBook laptop lineup by adding a smaller version of the existing 16-inch model: the ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 IPL with a 14-inch screen. The new model is available in several configurations and stands out from similar models with its keyboard featuring full-size arrow keys.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 IPL features an IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display with 1800p resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. The laptop is available in configurations with the Core Ultra 5 322, Core Ultra 5 325, and Core Ultra 7 355 processors.
The maximum memory capacity of the new model is 32 GB + 1 TB SSD, and there is also an additional M.2 2280 (PCIe 4.0) slot for a second SSD. The chassis features Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI, and Ethernet ports, as well as an audio output. The device's battery life is provided by a 60 Wh battery.
