During a major conference, Western Digital shared its plans for the development of hard drives (HDDs) in the coming years. The company presented several key technologies that should lead to the release of drives with a capacity of 100 TB and above in the future.
At CES 2026, Micron unveiled the 3610 solid-state drive, the world's first M.2 2230 client SSD with PCIe 5.0 and QLC memory. The new product is available in 1, 2, and 4 TB configurations and is designed for mainstream PCs and laptops.
