OnePlus has unveiled its new Pad 4 tablet, which is positioned as a replacement for traditional PCs. It features a large screen with stylus support, a powerful processor, and a high-capacity battery. The device is suitable for work, drawing, watching TV shows, and gaming.
The tablet is equipped with a 13.2-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen with 3.4K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a non-standard 7:5 aspect ratio, which is convenient for reading and working with documents, not just for watching videos.
For those who love watching TV shows and movies, there's an eight-speaker system with adaptive spatial audio?the tablet automatically adjusts the audio based on how you're holding it.
Performance is handled by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which significantly outperforms the previous generation in benchmark tests. It is complemented by up to 12 GB of RAM Random Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor. and up to 512 GB of storage. To ensure stable performance under load, a large cooling system with a vapor chamber is installed inside.
Special emphasis was placed on the software. The tablet runs on OxygenOS 16 and supports multitasking with multiple windows. Built-in AI features help with writing and editing text, translating, summarizing documents, and turning sketches into full-fledged images. If you have a OnePlus smartphone, you can quickly transfer files, copy text, or switch calls and videos between devices.
The 5.94-mm-thick body houses a 13,380 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
The new device has been unveiled in India and will go on sale starting at 59,999 rupees (~$630). The tablet is expected to be released in other regions later.
