ASRock Unveils a ?Budget-Friendly? Motherboard for the AM4 Socket and DDR4 Memory

Following MSI, ASRock has also unveiled hardware for a ?budget-friendly? gaming PC build. The new B550M Pro-A motherboard is aimed at gamers who want decent performance in modern games without breaking the bank.

The new micro-ATX model features four DIMM slots for DDR4 RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor., as well as an 8-phase power delivery system and an aluminum heatsink over the VRM area. A reinforced PCIe 4.0 x16 slot is provided for the graphics card, while storage options include four SATA ports (6 Gb/s) and two M.2 slots (PCIe 4.0 x4 + PCIe 3.0 x2).

Another M.2 slot is reserved for a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module. Additionally, the motherboard is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port, seven USB-A ports, one USB-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors.
