Mysterious Meizu press renders surface online
As per a few recent and rather interesting leaks, Meizu has a few intriguing devices already in the works and a slew of announcements allegedly planned for 2017. Considering all this, it is hardly surprising that a new and mysterious device has now been brought to our attention with a pair of official-looking renders.

Sadly, the source shares little about the actual model, and its hardware and is a bit less reputable than we would have liked, but we will give it the benefit of the doubt. What we do know is that the alleged device should come out next year, withing the budget Blue Charm or "M" line. It is said to have a 5-inch display and a familiar Meizu aesthetic. An interesting feature worth noting is the front-facing flash, supporting what is believed to be a 5MP camera.

Meizu m3 note will be unveiled on April 6
The Huawei P9 line isn't the only big smartphone launch from a Chinese company happening on April 6. For whatever reason, Meizu has picked the exact same date to unveil the upcoming m3 note, the successor to the m2 note from last year. Perhaps Meizu wants to steal some of Huawei's thunder or something.

Spec and pricing details for the m3 note have just been leaked mere hours ago. The phone is apparently going to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, 2GB of RAM, and the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset powering it. That one has a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The Meizu m3 note will be kept running by a 3,200 mAh battery.

Apple starts selling SIM free iPhone XR in the US
Supplies of iPhone XR units were pretty slim early on and as usual Apple chose to prioritize carriers in the US. The SIM free option just went live on Apple’s site, so if you haven’t jumped on T-Mobile’s “free” XR offer, you can go skip the new contract.

You’ll have to pay the full price up front – that’s $750 for the 64GB model, $800 for 128GB and $900 for 256GB. Delivery is listed as “1 business day”, so an online order should arrive pretty quickly. Or you could pick one up from Apple’s retail stores.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will have 1080x2340 screen resolution
Xiaomi is officially announcing the Mi Mix 3 next week, and the company's teaser campaign for its next flagship smartphone is now in full swing. It's already revealed that we should expect the top version to come with a whopping 10GB of RAM. 5G support should also be in, in some form or another.

Today the company's product marketing director for mobile phones, Zhi Zhiyuan, has outed another tidbit. The Mi Mix 3's screen resolution will be 1080x2340, making for a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Unlike other handsets advertising that resolution, here you'll be able to take advantage of all pixels, since there's no notch at the top - the Mi Mix 3 will have a slider mechanism to bring up the selfie camera.
