Noctua held a presentation of its new products and advanced developments in Japan. The main announcement was a two-phase thermosiphon cooler - a liquid cooling system operating without a pump. The company told about the principle of operation and release dates of the novelty. The system is being developed in cooperation with the Belgian company Calyos. Externally, it resembles a classic LCR, but without a pump. Inside the device is filled with special cooling liquid, which evaporates from the heat of the processor, and then goes to the radiator, where it cools and turns into liquid again, after which the cycle repeats. Doing away with the pump potentially reduces system noise and the risk of breakdown. Due to the nature of the mechanism, the heatsink must be mounted above the processor socket. It cannot be mounted in the side fan area on the right side or on the front panel. The company is not yet ready to reveal any technical details of the new system. Noctua CEO Roland Mossig only said that its release is planned for 2026. |
