GIGABYTE has unveiled its new Gaming A18 Pro gaming laptop. It combines a large 18-inch display with a high refresh rate and powerful hardware featuring a near-top-of-the-line NVIDIA graphics card.
One of the model's key features is an 18-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen with 2.5K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. This display is suitable not only for gaming but also for video editing, graphics work, and multimedia.
The screen opens 180 degrees, which can be convenient for work. Additionally, the new model features a keyboard with increased key travel for more comfortable typing and a distinct keystroke.
The laptop is built around an Intel Core i7-240H processor and can be equipped with a graphics card up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. The laptop can be used not only for gaming but also for AI tasks and content creation. For prolonged use, it features the Windforce Infinity EX cooling system with two fans, and under low load, the device can switch to a completely silent mode.
The laptop comes with the proprietary AI assistant GiMATE, which allows you to control performance modes, power settings, and the MUX switch.
Pricing and availability will be announced separately.
