Canon has unexpectedly unveiled an updated version of its PowerShot Elph 360 HS digital camera. However, the new model has lost some of the features of the original model, and its price has increased significantly. The new model looks the same as the original?the only difference is the name, which now includes the letter A, and the absence of a purple color option. The basic specifications have also remained unchanged: the camera is equipped with the same 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, 12x zoom lens, and Digic IV Plus processor. Even the outdated mini-USB port for connecting to a PC has been retained, but wireless printing and Wi-Fi ![]() The only noticeable upgrade is the switch from an SD memory card slot to the more modern microSD. Sales are scheduled to start at the end of October. The camera's price in the US starts at $359; for comparison, the original model cost $210. |
