Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced XRING O1 - a new processor of its own design. The head of the company did not go into details, but hinted when the first smartphone with this chip will be released. ?Let me share with you the news: Xiaomi's independently developed and designed mobile processor called XRING O1 will be released at the end of May,? Lei Jun announced on Weibo. According to rumors, the processor will be manufactured at the TSMC factory using the 5-nanometer process. It will have eight cores: Cortex-X925 with 3.2 GHz, Cortex-A725 with 2.6 GHz and Cortex-A520 with 2.0 GHz. The graphics will be handled by a 1.3GHz IMG DXT-72 video gas pedal from Imagination Technologies. It is expected to be comparable in power to the recently released Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. There is a possibility that the new chip will debut in the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro smartphone. |
