The upcoming budget smartphones, the HMD Crest 2 and 2 Pro, have been the focus of a recent insider report. In addition to high-quality renders, detailed spec sheets and expected retail prices for both devices have appeared online.
According to GSMArena, the base HMD Crest 2 will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED AMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the new model will feature a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel main camera. The expected price is $131 for the 6/256 GB configuration in the Indian market.
The HMD Crest 2 Pro will differ from the base model with a display featuring a higher 120 Hz refresh rate and a 64 MP camera. The smartphone is estimated to cost $183 for the same memory configuration, and its launch is expected in the third quarter of this year.
Additionally, according to rumors, the company is preparing to release the budget-friendly HMD Key 2 model, featuring a 6.56-inch IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display (HD+, 90 Hz), a Unisoc T310 chip, 4/64 GB of memory, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The price of the new model is expected to be around $85.
