Xiaomi has launched two new monitor models G24i and G27Qi to the global market. Both new products are aimed at gamers and content creators alike, offering high performance and a set of useful features. The more budget-friendly Xiaomi G24i model has a 23.8-inch IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen with FHD resolution, 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It is also claimed to support AMD FreeSync to prevent picture tearing during gaming, TÜV Low Blue Light certification to reduce strain on the user's eyes and Delta E < 2 color calibration for accurate color reproduction.The older Xiaomi G27Qi features a larger 27-inch screen with 2K resolution, with the remaining specs being similar to the younger monitor model. Also, both novelties boast a design with narrow bezels and an adjustable stand for adjusting the desired position of the screen. Other features include joystick control on the G24i for faster menu navigation and a set of essential ports, including HDMI, DisplayPort and a headphone jack. The G27Qi offers a similar selection of interfaces, as well as additional USB ports for peripherals. The price of the Xiaomi G24i and G27Qi has not been announced yet. |
