Vivo has expanded its brand series of ?youth? smartphones with the release of the vivo Y31 and Y31 Pro models. The new models differ in both design and specifications, but they also have common features, including an ?overclocked? screen and good battery life.

The vivo Y31 Pro smartphone is equipped with a 6.72-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..screen with a resolution of 2408x1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1050 cd/m². The heart of the new device is a Dimensity 7300 processor paired with 8 GB of RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor. and 128 or 256 GB of storage, depending on the configuration.

The rear camera module of the new model includes a main 50-megapixel sensor and an auxiliary 2-megapixel sensor, while an 8-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies.

The gadget's autonomy is provided by a 6500 mAh battery with support for 44-watt fast charging. The list of features is complemented by IP64 water and dust protection and Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15.

The base vivo Y31 has a 6.68-inch screen with a resolution of 1608x720 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness of up to 1000 cd/m². The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip paired with 4/128 GB or 6/128 GB of memory.

The battery capacity and front camera resolution of the gadget are the same as in the Pro version, but instead of a 2 MP sensor, it has a 0.08 MP sensor, and the moisture and dust protection is even better: IP68IP (or "Ingress Protection") ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60509:1989). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture. The numbers that follow IP each have a specific meaning. The first indicates the degree of protection (of people) from moving parts, as well as the protection of enclosed equipment from foreign bodies. The second defines the protection level that the enclosure enjoys from various forms of moisture (drips, sprays, submersion etc). +IP69.

The price of the vivo Y31 and Y31 Pro in the Indian market is $170 and $215, respectively.
