The company vivo presented the smartphone X Fold5, focusing not on cameras or design, but on durability and reliability. According to the manufacturer, this is the world's first foldable device with IP59+ water and dust resistance, which can withstand not only immersion to a depth of up to three meters, but also high-pressure hot water. At the same time, the device remains functional at temperatures as low as -20 ?C. The body of the X Fold5 is designed in a ?book? format with an external 6.53-inch and internal 8.03-inch AMOLED ![]() ![]() The X Fold5 is the first vivo model to feature a new type of battery - a second-generation semi-solid state battery. With a capacity of 6,000 mAh, it is able to operate normally even at -30 ?C. It also utilizes a dual-layer structure with high silicon content to ensure fast charging: 80W by wire and 40W by air. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with an f/1.57 lens aperture. There are two more cameras: a 50MP ultra-wide (JN1) with autofocus and macro function, and a 50MP TV (IMX882) with 3x periscopic zoom. The smartphone is capable of running up to five apps simultaneously with the ability to drag and drop files between windows. It also got native support for AirPods and Apple Watch, including synchronization of calls, notifications, and even health data. Additionally, the smartphone can work as a second screen for Macs. There's also the ability to route messages and calls from your iPhone directly to the X Fold5. Fast file transfer from iPhone is also available. The company has done everything to attract Apple users by making the transition easy without having to replace all other gadgets. The X Fold5 is available in four configurations: 12+256GB for $975, 12+512GB for $1115, 16+512GB for $1185 and the top-of-the-line 16+1024GB version for $1325. |
