ViewSonic has announced a new 27-inch XG275D-4K gaming monitor. The device combines 4K Ultra HD resolution with a unique refresh rate switching feature. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync technologies for smooth, gap-free gameplay.
The monitor is capable of switching between 320Hz refresh rate in Full HD 1080p (also known as Full HD or FHD and BT.709) is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, as opposed to interlaced, as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a resolution of 1920x1080 (2.1 megapixel) often marketed as Full HD.(1080p) for fast-paced gaming and 160Hz in 4K for detailed graphics. Another unique feature of the model is the ability to reduce the active screen area to 24.5 inches via the OSD menu, which is useful for cyber sports disciplines.
The Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel provides accurate color reproduction and wide viewing angles to enhance the visual experience in games, while the 0.5ms response time (MPRT) minimizes lag. The presence of HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports allows you to use the monitor with both computers and game consoles. Also the novelty has a USB Type-C With the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors. port with the ability to charge devices up to 65W.
The monitor is equipped with RGB backlighting with the ability to adjust colors and effects. Ergonomic stand with a compact base allows you to rotate the screen 90 degrees and place the keyboard and mouse closer to the screen.
The new product is on sale now for $499.99.
