Vision Research has announced an unusual professional camera called Phantom T2110. The novelty is capable of high-speed shooting, ?accelerating? to almost half a million frames per second. Such characteristics can be useful for both filmmakers and researchers in various scientific fields.

The basis of the Phantom T2110 is a 12-bit back-illuminated sensor with a resolution of 1 megapixel. With its help, the camera captures more than 21,000 frames per second at full resolution (1280x800 pixels), and up to 483,330 frames per second at reduced resolution (640x64 pixels). Developers claim that the camera is adapted for shooting in low-light conditions - a special processing algorithm increases light sensitivity and reduces the amount of digital noise.

In the maximum configuration, the camera is equipped with 256 GB of RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor.. It can store recordings in Cine RAW, Apple ProRes and H.264 MP4 formats, and supports the FAST option for 190 ns exposure time.

The Phantom T2110 comes standard with a Nikon F mount with support for F and G lenses. In addition, with the help of additional adapters you can use Canon EF, PL, C and M42 lenses. The manufacturer has not announced the price of the device yet.
