Transcend has launched the ESD420 compact SSD with MagSafe magnetic mount. With its large capacity combined with high data transfer speeds, it is positioned as a convenient solution for recording high-resolution mobile video, including uncompressed 4K ProRes movies. The Transcend SSD ESD420 measures 69.5 x 63 x 10 mm and weighs 48 grams. It connects to a smartphone or computer via the Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2x2) port, delivering line read and write speeds of up to 2000MB/s with support for 256-bit encryption. The novelty supports Transcend Elite proprietary utility for smartphone and PC, with which you can encrypt data and restrict access to it by password. Another feature of the accessory is compliance with the MIL-STD-810G protection standard. The drive will be available in 1, 2 and 4 TB versions in gray and gold colors. Transcend ESD420 price and launch date have not been announced yet. |
