Transcend has introduced a new MTE260S SSD drive to its range of branded devices. The device features PCIe Gen5 support, complies with the latest NVMe 2.0 specification and offers high data transfer rates, which are important for powerful gaming PCs and AI computing platforms. According to the manufacturer, the MTE260S achieves sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,000MB/s and 11,000MB/s respectively. Random operation performance is 1.4 million IOPS, and next-generation PCIe 5.0 NVMe support (32GT/s bandwidth per lane) significantly reduces game load times and large file transfers. At the heart of the MTE260S is a low-power 6nm controller with an ultra-thin graphene heatsink for efficient heat dissipation even under heavy loads. And Transcend Scope software is used to track performance metrics including drive status monitoring, firmware updates, TRIM support and performance optimization. Transcend MTE260S is available in 1TB and 2TB versions. The price of the new product has not been announced yet. |
