AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 series of high-performance processors and Radeon AI PRO 9000 graphics gas pedals have been officially released. The new products are focused on hardware-intensive tasks in professional areas, including AI-computing and 3D-design. Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series includes several CPU ![]() ![]() According to the manufacturer, compared to the ?seven-thousandth? series, the performance of new products has increased by 16% on average in traditional scenarios, and up to 25% when performing AI-operations. At the same time, the maximum TDP has also increased - up to 500W. At the same time, the company showed more affordable chips of Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series (up to 96 cores/192 threads, TDP up to 350W, without AMD PRO support, reduced set of I/O functions) and Threadripper 9000X HEDT, aimed at high-performance computers and entry-level workstations. Radeon AI PRO 9000 series graphics cards are based on Navi 48 graphics processor. The flagship of the series is Radeon AI Pro R9700 model with 64 RDNA 4 processing units (4096 stream processors), 128 AI cores and 32 GB of GDDR6 video memory (claimed performance - up to 1531 TOPS). Ryzen Threadripper 9000X series processors will be available in the retail market, while Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series will be available only through server and workstation OEMs. Radeon AI PRO 9000 graphics cards will be shipped through AMD partners. Sales launch date and prices of the new products have not been announced yet. |
