At the MWC 2025 exhibition in Barcelona, TECNO presented a new series of CAMON 40 smartphones. It includes four models: CAMON 40 Premier 5G, CAMON 40 Pro 5G, CAMON 40 Pro and the basic CAMON 40. All devices received advanced image processing algorithms based on artificial intelligence, and the three senior models are protected from water and dust according to the IP69 standard.

The main feature of the series is the camera system with FlashSnap mode, which captures moving objects thanks to a shutter speed of up to 1/12000 of a second and machine learning algorithms. The devices take a series of photos, and then the system automatically selects the best frame. In addition, the smartphones (except for the basic model) use front cameras with a resolution of 50 MP and eye autofocus.

The flagship model CAMON 40 Premier 5G is equipped with four 50-megapixel cameras, including the main module with a Sony LYT-701 sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone received an AMOLEDAMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.display with a resolution of 1.5K, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor. CAMON 40 Pro 5G uses a Sony LYT-700C sensor, and the model scored 138 points in the DXOMark rating, becoming the best in the price category up to $ 600.

The CAMON 40 series smartphones support TECNO AI features, including Ella voice assistant, phone call transcription, real-time translator, text editor with paraphrasing and error correction capabilities, and photo editing tools. These include an AI eraser to remove objects from photos, an AI expander to draw in areas outside the frame, and a group photo enhancement feature that can replace closed eyes with open eyes.

The CAMON 40 Premier 5G, 40 Pro 5G and 40 Pro models are protected according to the IP68IP (or "Ingress Protection") ratings are defined in international standard EN 60529 (British BS EN 60529:1992, European IEC 60509:1989). They are used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture. The numbers that follow IP each have a specific meaning. The first indicates the degree of protection (of people) from moving parts, as well as the protection of enclosed equipment from foreign bodies. The second defines the protection level that the enclosure enjoys from various forms of moisture (drips, sprays, submersion etc). /IP69 standard, and the basic version of the CAMON 40 is IP66. The screen of the three senior models is covered with Gorilla Glass 7i. The entire series is SGS certified for resistance to falls from a height of 1.5 meters, and for Premier 5G and Pro 5G, the manufacturer guarantees trouble-free operation for up to 72 months.

Prices and the start date of sales of smartphones in Russia will be announced soon.
