Team Group has unveiled its new NV5000 M.2 solid-state drive, the first in its Nova Value series. This entry-level solution features a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and is designed for users who value a balance of speed, quality, and price. The device is compatible with modern AMD and Intel platforms and is suitable for both laptops and desktop PCs. The NV5000 is based on 3D NAND memory and supports the NVMe 1.4 standard. Sequential read speeds reach 5000 MB/s. This is twice as fast as typical PCIe 3.0 SSDs and nine times faster than SATA drives. This level of performance is suitable for tasks such as video editing, backup, and gaming. The drive is available in versions up to 2 TB. For heat dissipation, a proprietary graphene thermal sticker less than a millimeter thick is used, which reduces the temperature during operation and does not interfere with the installation of standard heat sinks on motherboards. The manufacturer emphasizes that the NV5000 is optimized for everyday use, including document processing, multimedia, and multitasking. The drive supports Team Group's proprietary software for real-time status and performance monitoring. In the future, the company plans to expand the NV5000 series with other PCIe 4.0-based models. |
