Sony has updated its full-frame compact camera RX1R for the first time in 10 years. In addition to technical specifications, the price has also changed: the device has increased in price by almost $2000 in comparison with the previous model. Sony RX1R III is equipped with a 35-mm full-frame Exmor R sensor with a resolution of 61 MP, as well as Bionz XR processor for image processing. The latter is capable of ?predicting? where a person's eyes will be in the frame and tracking their movement for fast focusing. The novelty is equipped with a fixed focal length Zeiss Sonnar T 35 mm F2 fixed lens, but due to the large resolution, the company compensates for this by framing with quick switching between different EFR values: 35, 50 and 70 mm. There is also a macro mode with a minimum subject distance of 20 cm. For sighting you can use the screen (now it is not retractable) or OLED ![]() The list of features is completed by a 693-point phase autofocus and a continuous shooting mode at 5 fps. The camera is also able to record video (4K @ 30 fps and 1080p @ 120 fps) and supports the S-Cinetone format. The dimensions of the case, made of magnesium alloy, is 113 x 67 x 87 mm. The Sony RX1R III will go on sale in the overseas market in July at a price of $5099. |
