The Sharge brand has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the release of an external SSD called Disk Pro with an interesting set of features. The device combines the functions of a storage device and a docking station to expand the set of interfaces of a laptop or smartphone.

Sharge Disk Pro with a capacity of 1, 2, or 4 TB (TLC memory) is equipped with USB-A (2.0 and 3.0), USB-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors.., and HDMI 2.1 (4K @ 144 Hz / 8K @ 30 Hz) ports. The built-in cable allows you to connect a power supply with a capacity of up to 100 W to the hub, and the output provides up to 80 W of power, which is sufficient for many laptop and monitor models.

The built-in cooler supports automatic speed control and, in Turbo mode, accelerates to a stable 10,000 rpm. According to the manufacturer, thanks to active cooling, the drive heats up to an average of 50 ?C even under load.

The gadget's dimensions are 90 x 61 x 11 mm, it weighs 150 grams, and its read speed is up to 1000 MB/s. During the fundraising stage, the Sharge Disk Pro 1, 2, and 4 TB models cost $189, $289, and $469, respectively, with sales scheduled to begin in December 2025.
