There were a lot of rumors on the web that Samsung will make a new smart watch this year with a square shape instead of the usual round one. Judging by the renders published by insider OnLeaks, this turned out to be partially true - the new Galaxy Watch7 Ultra will indeed be different from the company's previous models. Judging by the renders, the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra's body will be square with rounded corners - in the style of the app icons in Samsung's One UI firmware. At the same time, the screen will remain round and will be 1.5 inches in size, like the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. The dimensions of the watch will be 47 x 47.4 x 16.4 mm versus 46.5 x 46.5 x 10.9 mm on the Watch6 Classic. Despite the shape change, the signature rotating bezel won't be going anywhere. Other features include three physically buttons and a large speaker slot. The strap attachment, apparently, will not be the same as in past models. The location of sensors on the inside of the case will also change, so we can expect some new health tracking features. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is expected to be presented alongside the foldable smartwatches at a special event in July. |
