Samsung is considering launching a paid subscription to the Samsung Health service - this was revealed by the company's head of digital health, Dr. Hong Park. According to him, the model will resemble Fitbit Premium or Garmin Connect Plus, where some of the additional features are available only for money. It is not yet specified which options will turn out to be paid. According to the company, it could even be features from the upcoming One UI 8 Watch update. These include vascular load indicators, tips for better sleep, antioxidant analysis, and other tools for advanced health monitoring. There's a chance that newer Galaxy Watch models will get these features for free, while owners of older watches will have to pay for access. Samsung has previously hinted at this possibility, saying that the terms of use for the new features could change. In the past, Samsung has also warned that some of the Galaxy AI features will only be distributed for free until the end of 2025. At the same time, the company has not yet specified how exactly it will realize the transition to a paid subscription. |
