Samsung has announced the upcoming release of a new laptop called Galaxy Book5 Pro with support for Microsoft's Copilot+ and Galaxy AI feature packs. The model will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch display versions, and will be built on performance hardware from Intel. Regardless of the screen size, the Galaxy Book5 Pro features Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors and a Dynamic AMOLEDAMOLED, which stands for Active Matrix OLED, is a hybrid display technology that pairs the active matrix backplane from a traditional TFT display with an OLED display. As a result of their active matrix natures, AMOLED displays have faster pixel switching response times than do traditional OLED displays, which are prone to ghosting when displaying fast moving animations.2X matrix with qHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung is positioning the laptop as the first model in the series with a webcam that supports Staggered HDR. The claimed power of the NPU module for AI functions is 47 TOPS. According to the manufacturer, the autonomy of the laptop, depending on the modification, is up to 25 h. Other features of the model include a stereo system of four speakers, backlit keyboard and a decent set of interfaces: HDMI 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4, one USB Type-A, a headphone jack and a slot for microSD cards. Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro has been unveiled in the South Korean market. It will go on sale on January 5, 2025 and the price will be announced later. |
