Ryzen 7 9800X3D will be only slightly more powerful than its predecessor |

AMD is already preparing for the premiere of Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which promises to be one of the most powerful processors for gaming PCs. The company has not yet compared the new chip with the previous model, but a marketing description showing the difference between them has already appeared online. In gaming scenarios, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D (8 cores / 16 threads, up to 5.2 GHz) will reportedly be 8% faster than the current 7800X3D model. In multi-threaded workloads, the difference will be more tangible - up to 15%. It is expected that the new product will support DDR5 memory modules with effective frequency up to 6000 MHz by default (up to DDR5-8000 with overclocking). The source also reports that the flagship processor will be able to work with any motherboards under the AM5 socket, including budget solutions on the A620 chipset (firmware update will be required). AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is scheduled to premiere on November 7. |
