Ricoh has announced the upcoming premiere of the GR IV digital camera. Compared to its predecessor, the new camera will receive a number of improvements in terms of the sensor itself, stabilization and even ISO range, while its design is virtually unchanged. Ricoh GR IV will have only two noticeable external differences from the previous generation model: it is absence of rotating disk on the four-position navigation panel, and also slightly changed form of ADJ regulator on the rear part of the body. In comparison with Ricoh GR III, the sensor resolution has increased from 24 to 25.74 megapixels. At the same time the ISO range has increased (from 100 to 204 800), and instead of 3-axis stabilization a more advanced 5-axis one has been implemented. The novelty will be equipped with a lens with a focal length of 28 mm and aperture f/2.8. Macro mode will allow you to focus at a distance of up to 6 cm from the object. The shutter speed range is from 1/4000th of a second to 20 minutes. Ricoh GR IV will be able to save photos in 14-bit RAW and regular JPEG files, as well as record 1080p @ 60 fps video in H.264. In addition to 53GB of internal memory, there is support for microSDXC cards. There's a 3-inch LCD display for viewing composition or finished shots. Files can be transferred via 802.11ax Wi-Fi ![]() ![]() The Ricoh GR IV is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2025, and the price of the camera has not yet been announced.
