The REDMI brand has launched the affordable REDMI R70 and R70m smartphones in the Chinese market. Externally and in terms of basic specifications, the devices are identical, but they differ in battery capacity and memory configurations. Both new models are equipped with a 6.9-inch IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 800 cd/m². The Unisoc T8300 processor serves as the foundation of the hardware platform for each model.Both models feature a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The R70's battery life is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery, while the R70m is powered by a slightly larger 6,300 mAh battery (15W wired and 7.5W reverse charging). The REDMI R70 is available in 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB, 6/256 GB, and 8/256 GB configurations starting at $234. The R70m is available in 6/128 GB, 6/256 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/256 GB configurations starting at $263. There is no information yet on the release of these new models in other countries. |
