Redmi brand has updated the G24 monitor, released back in 2022. This time the novelty was called Display G24 and equipped with a screen with improved characteristics. The price has remained the same low. Display G24 received an IPS  In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with the same diagonal of 23.8 inches, support for 1920x1080 pixels resolution, increased refresh rate (up to 180 Hz) and response time of 1 ms. The manufacturer also mentions 120% coverage of the sRGB color space, support for HDR10 and PWM dimming, as well as factory calibrated Delta E < 2 color rendering.The interface set includes a DisplayPort 1.4 port, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack and DC output. USB hub is not included in the package. Adjustable stand allows you to customize the desired height, angle of rotation and tilt. The novelty is already available in China at a price of $108 (at the start of sales costs $80). |
