REDMI has unveiled the G24Q, an affordable gaming monitor featuring a Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel. Despite its affordable price, the new model offers an advanced set of specifications and supports a range of features designed to enhance the gaming experience without the use of cheats.
The REDMI G24Q features a 24-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 180 Hz. The response time is 1 ms (GtG), peak brightness is 400 cd/m² (VESA DisplayHDR 400), and color coverage is 94% of the Display P3 gamut and 100% sRGB (ΔE < 2).
The new model supports AMD FreeSync and Dynamic OD technologies to improve image smoothness during rapid frame changes. The feature set also includes a built-in on-screen crosshair and ?night vision.? To protect your eyes, it uses DC Dimming, a TÜV Rheinland-certified blue light filter, and Xiaomi QingShan technology, which reduces the blue component without adding a yellow tint.
You can connect to a signal source via two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and the stand allows you to tilt, swivel, raise, and lower the monitor. The Redmi G24Q is already on sale in China for $110.
