Asus has unveiled two new ProArt series monitors aimed at digital content creators - the 34.1-inch ProArt Display PA34VCNV and the 15.6-inch touchscreen ProArt Display PA169CDV.
The ProArt Display PA34VCNV is based on an ultra-wide (21:9 aspect ratio) curved IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix with 10-bit color depth support and a 3800R radius of curvature.

The screen supports UWQHDQHD (Quad High Definition) is a resolution standard for high-end monitors, televisions and mobile devices. QHD is specified as 2560x1440 pixels at a16x9 aspect ratio, four times that of 720p standard high definition. Ultra wide QHD boosts the horizontal pixels to 3440 for a 21x9 aspect ratio. QHD is a resolution suitable to large-size screens. On mobile devices, given the 5.5 inch screens, QHD makes for a very high pixel density of 538dpi. QHD is on the horizon for higher end smartphones. resolution (3440 × 1440 pixels), has a brightness of 300 cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a response time of 5ms. The display is claimed to have 100 percent coverage of sRGB and Rec.709 color spaces.

The monitor is equipped with a USB Type-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors. port with DisplayPort and 96W charging alternatives, two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0.

In turn, ProArt Display PA169CDV is a portable monitor with support for 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels). The novelty may appeal to artists. The screen of the monitor is touch screen and can be used as a graphic tablet with support of ProArt Pen based on Wacom EMR technology.

The monitor features the Asus Software Control Panel, a virtual interface that provides access to popular digital content creation applications such as Adobe Suite, DaVinci Resolve and Clip Studio Paint.

The ProArt Display PA169CDV has a screen brightness of 500 cd/m2. It is claimed to have a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 10ms response time and support for about 1.073 billion colors and shades. The monitor has 178-degree vertical and horizontal viewing angles, a USB Type-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors.
