| So ATT decided to kick me off and lock my phone bc ATT says its not compatible with 5G, and that by march 2022, only 5G capable devices will work on their network. So they mailed me- are u ready for this insult- an Alcatel Axcel, $50 Walmart special in place of my $700 CAT S48C indestructible smartphone. Problem is the Alcatel is connected to 4G at best in my area (Western PA) and my CAT S48C handles 4G just fine. In fact the CAT phone has "Enhanced 4G LTE" capabilities. So for no apparent reason, im being forced by ATT to downgrade my device by multitudes of capabilities. Im NOT the happiest customer ATT has, that's for certain. In fact, i got the S48C bc of it's "alleged" ability to work on Verizon network. Buuut after Verizon's engineers talked with CAT's engineers, i was once again forced to deal with ATT's crap. As if 20yrs of being an ATT customer doesn't have me jumping off bridges, 22yrs definitely will. So as i continue on, and the Alcatel ends up destroyed like all the rest of the Walmart specials which led me to the $700 purchase of CAT's S48C, I'll at least FINALLY be rid of ATT and will have to once again save up the ~$700 required to get an indestructible Verizon phone from CAT. HOWEVER, once my old CAT phone connects to wifi, i still get txt messages. Messages i dont even get on my new, unlocked Walmart special. So id like to unlock the CAT S48C that ATT forced locked.
