Comments, Questions and Answers about the secret codes of Nokia 6310

I have an original Nokia 6310i, purchased in 2001, but kept in a box for the past 15 years. I would like to use it again, and am hoping someone can give me some advice. My questions: (1) Will it still work for telephone calls in the UK? (2) Will a modern (large) SIM card work in it? (3) I have forgotten my PIN and PUK codes. Is there a way of bypassing them? Thanks
