Philips has expanded its range of branded monitors with the release of the Evnia 27M2N5901A model. It can switch between ?design? and gaming modes with different combinations of resolution and refresh rate, and is equipped with ?interior? lighting that adapts to the scene on the screen.

The new 27-inch matrix operates in 4K @ 160 Hz mode by default. The panel's color gamut is 90% Adobe RGB, 95% P3, 110% NTSC, and 130% sRGB (ΔE < 2). If you switch to Full HD1080p (also known as Full HD or FHD and BT.709) is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, as opposed to interlaced, as is the case with the 1080i display standard. The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a resolution of 1920x1080 (2.1 megapixel) often marketed as Full HD.resolution, the maximum refresh rate increases to 320 Hz. The screen response time is 1 ms (GtG) / 0.5 ms (Smart MBR).

Especially for gamers, there are Smart Crosshair (overlay with adjustable color), Stark ShadowBoost (prevents overexposure of bright objects), and Smart Sniper (zoom in on the center of the frame) functions.

The monitor's set of interfaces includes two HDMI 2.1 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB-CWith the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors.. (65 W), two USB-A and one USB-B with KVM switch function. In addition, two 5-watt speakers are built into the case.

This new product supports picture-in-picture mode and the ability to split the display to work with two signal sources. Ambiglow backlight LEDs are located on the back of the monitor. With the adjustable stand, you can change the height (?130 mm), rotate (?30?) and tilt (-5?20?) the display, as well as switch it to portrait orientation.

The Philips Evnia 27M2N5901A will go on sale in China in early October at a price of $447.
