Philips has launched the Evnia 27M2N3800A 27-inch gaming monitor with dual-mode display and a maximum refresh rate of 320Hz. It also got a wide color gamut and several smart features to make playing online shooters easier.
Philips Evnia 27M2N3800A has got a Fast IPS In Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..matrix with a native resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 160Hz. But there's a second mode of operation where the resolution switches to 1920x1080 and the refresh rate increases to 320Hz. In addition, the display covers 130% of the sRGB color space, 95% of DCI-P3 and 90% of Adobe RGB.
Contrast ratio reaches 1000:1, and brightness - 450 nits in HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). mode and 350 nits - in SDR. The monitor is also certified VESA DisplayHDR 400 and has built-in 2W stereo speakers. For connectivity, there is one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 connectors, as well as a 3.5mm connector.
To increase the chances of winning in shooters added several technologies: adaptive sight Smart Crosshair, changing color depending on the environment, universal zoom Smart Sniper sight and highlighting shadows Stark ShadowBoost. And to improve the image there is SmartImage - a technology that adjusts the picture to different game genres.
The cost of the novelty is still unknown.
