Philips has launched a budget 32-inch monitor with Ambiglow backlighting

philips-326m6fjsb-

The range of Philips monitors has been expanded with the 326M6FJSB. Despite the very affordable price, the novelty has a large display with increased resolution, interior Ambiglow backlighting and a decent set of features for different scenarios.

The monitor is equipped with a 31.5-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..panel with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a maximum brightness of 250 nits. The manufacturer also claims 108% NTSC color space coverage, 126% sRGB and 10-bit color depth support. The viewing angle vertically and horizontally is 178 degrees.

The novelty supports AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the monitor's reed rate with the frame rate for compatible AMD graphics cards, which allows you to eliminate picture tearing during dynamic games. A set of preset modes are also available to optimize settings to suit different gaming genres. In addition, LowBlue Mode technology reduces harmful blue light and Flicker-Free eliminates flicker.

An interesting addition to the novelty is Ambiglow backlighting, which changes its color depending on the content of the screen. The set of interfaces includes two HDMI 1.4 ports, one DispalyPort 1.2 and D-Sub (VGA), 3.5mm audio jack and "anti-theft" slot for Kensington lock. Support for VESA 100x100 mm mount allows you to fix the monitor on the wall.

The Philips 326M6FJSB is priced at 999 yuan (about $138) in China.
