OPPO Reno14 gets a capacious battery and a periscope camera |

OPPO officially presented smartphones Reno14 and Reno14 Pro. Unlike last year's series with curved screens, the new products received flat OLED-displays. The devices are also equipped with high-capacity batteries, cameras with 3.5x zoom and IP69 protection. OPPO Reno14 got a 6.59-inch AMOLED ![]() The base model is built on a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the Reno14 Pro gets the new Dimensity 8450 with improved Mali-G720 MC7 graphics. For cooling, a heatsink made of ice nanocrystals is used, the efficiency of which OPPO claims is three times higher compared to previous generations. RAM ![]() Both smartphones feature a 50MP main camera with optical stabilization, a 50MP telephoto camera with periscopic lens and 3.5x zoom, and a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus. The older Reno14 Pro is also equipped with a 50-megapixel super-wide camera, while the regular version has an 8MP one. The smartphones support video recording in maximum 4K quality at 60 fps. The Reno14 model is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery, while the Pro version has a 6,200 mAh battery. Both new products support 80W fast charging, but the Pro additionally has 50W wireless charging. Sales in China will start on May 23. Prices for the Reno14 start at 2,799 yuan (roughly $388) for the 12 + 256GB version to 3,799 yuan (~$527) for the 16GB + 1TB version. The Reno14 Pro costs from 3,499 yuan (~$485) for the 12 + 256GB to 4,499 yuan (~$624) for the 16GB + 1TB. |
