NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card in the 8GB memory version has proven to be extremely under-sold - at least in Germany. According to one of the largest retailers Mindfactory, the 16GB version is selling more than 16 times better. According to the report, 1,675 graphics cards with 16GB were sold compared to just 105 with 8GB. The difference is 1600%, and we're talking about the same card, not devices from competing brands. That said, both versions are equally available on the market. Checking through geizhals.de showed that both 8GB and 16GB models are widely available from different manufacturers: ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, Palit, ZOTAC and others. Therefore, it's not a matter of shortages or supply disruptions, but a conscious choice of buyers. Apparently, users prefer not to save a few dozens of euros, so as not to face a shortage of video memory in the future. The additional 8 GB allows you to comfortably run modern games, especially with active ray tracing and high resolution textures. Moreover, a graphics card with 16 GB looks preferable on the secondary market as well: if the owner wants to sell his system later, it will have a higher residual value. Although the statistics relate to one specific store in Germany, they illustrate well the general mood of the market. Players are increasingly betting on memory stock, even in the mid-price segment. |
