The company Nothing approached Marques Brownlee, author of the popular YouTube channel MKBHD, with an unusual proposal - to fantasize on the topic of an ideal smartphone. After listening to all the wishes of the blogger, the engineers calculated how much such a device could cost. Here is how Marques Brownlee described his ideal smartphone: 5800 mAh battery with fast charging support; screen from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, bright OLED, LTPO and anti-reflective coating, 6.1 inches diagonal; rear cameras from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but with iPhone 16 Pro processing algorithms; front camera from the Pixel 9 Pro; 1TB of storage; an Apple A18 Pro or Snapdragon 8 Elite-level processor. Nothing designers have created a concept of such a smartphone, which is very similar to the Pixel 9 Pro, but with Nothing OS shell. The company also calculated the cost of materials of such a device. If you do not take into account the costs of production, software, support, logistics and so on, then all the selected components will cost about 500 dollars. The most expensive elements are the processor for 190 dollars, a 1 TB drive and 16 GB of RAM ![]() Nothing has also announced the unveiling of a new device in March. It will be interesting to see if the company succeeds in making a ?dream smartphone?. |
