MSI has unveiled two new micro-ATX motherboards based on the B550 chipset for AM4 socket processors. The MSI PRO B550M-B and B550M-A PRO models are designed for relatively inexpensive gaming builds with DDR4 memory. The MSI PRO B550M-B is equipped with two DDR4-4600 DIMM slots and a pair of M.2 connectors for solid-state drives (PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x4). In addition, the PCIe 4.0 x16 Steel Armor connector is further reinforced to work with heavy graphics cards. The list of features also includes a 1 Gb/s Gigabit Ethernet port and a 5-volt connector for ARGB lighting with control via Mystic Light software. The more affordable MSI B550M-A PRO is equipped with a 4-pin CPU The new products will go on sale on February 27. The MSI PRO B550M-B will cost $78 in the Chinese market, while the B550M-A PRO will cost buyers $67. |
