MSI's catalog now features a new ?platinum? PRO A1000PL power supply unit designed for gaming desktop builds. The new product is interesting not only for its high power and fully modular design, but also for its relatively low price for hardware of this class. The kilowatt PSU complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, and its energy efficiency is confirmed by 80 PLUS Platinum certification. The manufacturer also claims to use reinforced connectors to improve their conductivity and operational safety. According to the specifications, the new product is capable of withstanding peak loads twice the total power consumption of the system and three times the power consumption of the video card. To connect modern video cards with a 12V-2×6 connector, the MSI PRO A1000PL is equipped with a 16-pin PCIe connector that can deliver up to 600W of power. A 120mm fan is responsible for cooling the power supply. Safety measures include protection against current overload, overheating, short circuit, overvoltage and power surges, as well as protection against excessive load. The MSI PRO A1000PL is already available on the Chinese market at a price of $99. |
