MSI has revealed the specifications of its new MPG 242R X60N gaming monitor. With a refresh rate of up to 600Hz and a response time of just 0.1ms (GtG), it will be suitable for cyber athletes and competitive online shooters.
The monitor utilizes a 24.1-inch Rapid TN matrix with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It uses MPRT Sync technology to reduce blurring and motion artifacts. The monitor also supports non-standard resolutions and aspect ratios, including 4:3 formats (1280x960 and 1024x768) popular among cyber sportsmen, while maintaining high frequency - up to 600 Hz.
The display is capable of displaying 93% of DCI-P3 color space and 119% of sRGB. Also announced support for HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging, and it is an old photography practice recently introduced to cameraphones like the iPhone and some Android devices (or with the use of special apps). (VESA DisplayHDR 400) and advanced image settings: color, gamma, saturation and hue can be adjusted manually. In addition, AI Vision artificial intelligence system improves image readability, and AI Crosshair dynamically changes the color of the scope in games so that it is always clearly visible on the screen, regardless of the background.
For connectivity, there's HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a and USB-C With the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors.. with up to 98W of power. The stand is adjustable for height, tilt, swivel and rotation, and KVM support allows you to control multiple devices from a single keyboard and mouse.
The price of the monitor has not yet been announced.
