MSI has released a new monitor series MAG, aimed primarily at the gamer audience. The model called MAG 272UP QD-OLED X24 is based on Samsung matrix with an advanced set of features, including color reproduction at the level of professional models.
The monitor features a 26.5-inch display with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 240Hz. Peak backlight brightness is up to 1000 nits, response time - 0.03 ms (GtG), color gamut - 99% DCI-P3, 98% Adobe RGB and 138% sRGB (ΔE < 2).
It supports Adaptive-Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies, as well as MSI OLED OLED technology was invented by Eastman Kodak in the early 1980s. OLED panels are made from organic (carbon based) materials that emit light when electricity is applied through them. Since OLEDs do not require a backlight and filters (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to make, and much thinner. OLEDs have a great picture quality - brilliant colors, fast response rate and a wide viewing angle. OLEDs can also be used to make OLED lighting - thin, efficient and without any bad metals.Care 2.0 anti-burn-in features (picture shift, full image refresh, ambient light monitoring and automatic brightness control). The built-in menu also allows you to display a dynamic crosshair, zoom the picture and highlight dark areas of the frame.
The monitor's interface set includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, and USB-C With the continued success of the USB interface, there exists a need to adapt USB technology to serve newer computing platforms and devices as they trend toward smaller, thinner and lighter form-factors. Many of these newer platforms and devices are reaching a point where existing USB receptacles and plugs are inhibiting innovation, especially given the relatively large size and internal volume constraints of the Standard-A and Standard-B versions of USB connectors.. (DP Alt Mode, 15-watt charging). The stand supports height adjustment up to 110mm, tilt from -5 to 20? and swivel with the ability to put the screen in portrait mode. The MAG 272UP QD-OLED X24 sells for $783 in China.
