Without much media hype, Motorola has unveiled the Edge 70, a smartphone with a slim body reminiscent of the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. In addition to its design, the gadget is notable for its flagship level of protection and long-term software support. The Motorola Edge 70 is 5.9 mm thick (compared to 5.8 mm for the Galaxy S25 Edge and 5.64 mm for the iPhone Air). Inside, it houses a 4800 mAh silicon-carbon battery (3900/3036 mAh in competitors) with support for fast (68 W) wireless charging (15 W). The device features a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2712x1220 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 4500 cd/m² in HDR The new device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with a single memory configuration of 12/512 GB. All three cameras (main, ultra-wide-angle, and front) have a resolution of 50 MP. The smartphone's body is protected according to IP69 and MIL-STD 810H standards. The Motorola Edge 70 runs on Android 16. The company claims that the gadget will receive four OS updates, and security patches will be available for six years. The smartphone is already available for pre-order in Europe for ?799, with sales starting on November 5. |
