Kubuntu Focus has released an updated version of its signature M2 notebook with a Linux kernel operating system. The sixth-generation model has received a noticeable upgrade of all key components - from the display to the graphics card.

The notebook is equipped with a 16-inch IPSIn Plane Switching (IPS) panels are an expensive option but they have excellent colour accuracy and far greater viewing angles then TN and VA panels (Not that we condone slouching while gaming). They are great for graphics design and photo editing. However, the only downside to IPS panels if that they can sometimes have a slower response time than TN panels. This is the only real problem if you’re a very competitive gamer or want to game in 3D. As of late “IPS” has become a big marketing word. Step into an Apple store and you would be hard pressed talking to someone that didn’t mention Apple’s “brand new IPS Displays!” In fact, Apple is probably one of the biggest marketers of this “new-found” technology. As a business person myself, this is when you have to tip your hat to Apple’s awesome marketing machine. Why? Well, because IPS is actually nothing new. In fact, this technology was originally invented in 1996 by Hitachi..display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels (16:10) and backlight brightness up to 525 cd/m². The hardware platform is based on a 24-core Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, complemented by an NVIDIA GeForce GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card with 12GB of memory.

The base version of Kubuntu Focus M2 is equipped with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor. working in dual-channel mode, as well as a 1 TB SSD drive. If necessary, the RAMRandom Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor. can be expanded up to 96 GB, and SSD (taking into account all slots) - up to 12 TB.

The set of interfaces includes two USB 3.2 Type-C (Thunderbolt, DisplayPort Alt), a pair of USB 3.2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1b, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and 2-in-1 audio output for headphones and microphone, as well as a microSD slot. The notebook's launch date and price have not yet been announced.
