Kioxia has introduced the Exceria PRO G2 line of high-speed solid-state drives. The new drives use the PCIe 5.0 interface and come in three configurations: 1, 2, and 4 TB. The Exceria PRO G2, designed in the M.2 2280 form factor, is based on the BiCS 3D TLC memory chip. In terms of performance, the SSDs are capable of sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 13,700 MB/s. Combined with high random read/write performance, this ensures instant game loading, 8K video editing, and stable operation of demanding applications. The stated rewritable capacity of the drives is 600, 1,200, and 2,400 TBW for the 1, 2, and 4 TB versions, respectively. The company also promises a five-year limited warranty. The Kioxia Exceria PRO G2 will go on sale in December of this year. The price has not yet been announced. |
