Competitors to the wildly popular Apple MacBook Neo are set to arrive in the Windows laptop market soon. Intel has unveiled a reference laptop design based on the new Wildcat Lake processors. The company is focusing on portability, quiet operation, and premium design. Special attention has been paid to the exterior design. The showcased laptop features a slim aluminum chassis with a vibrant color scheme featuring aquamarine and light tones. Until now, Windows laptop manufacturers have largely ignored aesthetics in the budget segment. As expected, the laptop is powered by a Wildcat Lake (Core Series 3) chip with a six-core configuration (two high-performance and four energy-efficient cores) and a built-in 17 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. Several power modes are available: base mode at 17W and turbo mode up to 35W. Additionally, in 11W mode, the laptop operates completely fanless, making no noise at all. It was previously announced that more than 70 laptop models from Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, Samsung, and other manufacturers are being prepared for release based on Wildcat Lake chips. However, prices and other details have not yet been disclosed. |
