Intel recently released the Core Ultra 3 205 desktop processor, but without an advertising campaign, the release went almost unnoticed. Recently, the first test results for the chip appeared online ? and, as it turns out, it is quite good in terms of computing power for its price category. The eight-core processor was tested in a build based on a motherboard with an H810MK chipset and 8 GB of RAM  Random Access Memory (RAM) is the place in a computer where the operating system, application programs, and data in current use are kept so that they can be quickly reached by the computers processor.. In Geekbench 6, it scored 2664 and 9935 points in single- and multi-threaded disciplines. Compared to the Core i3-14100F model, the performance gain was 11% and 23%, respectively.The closest competitor to the chip in terms of power is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D (2085/9380 points), which has an MSRP of $229. As a reminder, the Intel Core Ultra 3 205 operates at up to 4.9 GHz, has a nominal TDP of 57 W, and 15 MB of Smart Cache. In France, the new product is sold at a price of ?155. |
